Big Improvement
I replaced Monroe Reflex shocks on my 2000 Frontier (120,000 mi) with these shocks, front & back. The Reflex shocks had about 40,000 on them, and were an improvement over the worn out OE shocks they replaced.
I now wish I'd originally gone with Bilsteins. I got a big improvement in ride and handling. I mostly travel city streets & highways. The ruts, holes & other rough spots in the streets were driving me crazy---chattering my doors & windows and producing almost non-stop thumping noise. While I still feel the tires encounter dips, ruts & holes, these impacts are pretty well soaked up. Its a firm ride, but much quieter & smoother. On smooth roadways the truck is much quieter, also. Tires stay on the road more firmly while cornering, too.
Individual vehicles respond differently to different types of shocks. But I'm very pleased with the Bilstein HDs.
