Amazing upgrade for Airstream Interstate on Sprinter 3500
We put this sway bar on a 2010 Airstream Interstate which is built on a Sprinter 3500. We wanted to reduce body roll. After a ton of research we decided to upgrade the rear shocks with Bilstein shocks and the Hellwig sway bar. The Bilstein and Hellwig combination did a fantastic job and eliminated most of the the vehicle sway. This is a simple bolt on installation that replaces the existing rear sway bar. A local shop installed it with a really skinny guy on a creeper and it took him about an hour which is what they charged. We did the shocks first and they improved things substantially. However, the addition of the sway bar and the shocks really solved this problem. I got the sway bar for $159 on-line, same seller as amazon, and it was here in two days. I also purchased the shocks on-line for about $85 each. The parts cost was $330 and the labor for the shocks was $90 and for the sway bar $70, two different shops. Grand total was under $500 which was much less than parts...

Almost a 5-star
The sway bar is beefy, I was surprised when I got it. The package cam with all necessary hardware including brackets, bolts and grease for the bushings. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5? The bolts supplied with the package would not fit thru the holes on the axle mounting brackets supplied by Hellwig. I had to auger out the holes slightly for them to fit properly. I am not sure if the holes got smaller from the paint they applied or it was not designed for these bolts? Other than the holes the item fits perfectly. I am not sure how it will perform as the Sprinter Camper is put away for the winter, but this item is much more impressive looking than the oem bar. I don't know how it can't be better.
