I bought a 3rd one.
The first two have been reliable, powerful, and easy to install in a variety of bikes. There are plenty of places on the internet to find instructions for this engine. Put one of these engines in an older bike and it will come alive; and other people will drool over it when they see what it will do.
The oil in the packing material bothered me when I first saw it. Then I realized the oil didn't come out of the engine; it is preservative oil to protect the engines while in storage or in transit.
I wouldn't consider these engines to be do-it-yourself projects for novices. One should be somewhat savvy about motorcycles, tools, and the machinery where one intends to install them. I can tell you this, they are worth the effort, and these 125cc engines perform so well that they will make you want to throw rocks at old 90cc engines from the past.

Strong Little Motor
I purchased this engine approximately 1 month ago. It was fairly easy to install on my 1970 CT70. The wiring was the most difficult, but DRATV offers some wiring kits that help with that task. This engine accepts the stock exhaust, along with stock chain and back sprocket with no problems. I test-rode the bike and was pleasantly surprised at the power of this motor. The front-end lifts off the ground in 1st through 3rd gear with little effort. I am planning to increase the front sprocket size to get more top-end, which will still leave plenty of low-end for some slow trail riding. I am planning to order this engine for my other CT70 as well. Just a note: I've had a Lifan 90cc engine in another bike for over 6 years. It starts even after sitting for 5 or 6 months and runs great every time. These are solid and economically priced engines.
Honda quality and reliability for a fraction of the price
I bought the Lifan 125cc horizontal engine and it bolted right in without any fuss. It started right up and runs great.
For those of you who are unaware Lifan=Honda....literally. If you go to the Honda dealership and buy a CRF50, CRF70, TRX90 you are buying a Lifan. They make them for Honda (at least the engines and transmissions), and they have for decades. Think of any horizontal engine Honda from the past and how great it was. It was/is a Lifan.
I highly recommend this product.
