STRUT INSTALLATION
I am a helicopter mechanic, In the Aviation business there is only one way to be a mechanic and that is the professional and correct way of repairing anything by the book. If you are a trained mechanic you know there is only one way to repairing anything correctly, Example: you do not use water pump pliers to remove anything,And so on, A good mechanic will know what I am talking about I believe if you have to build a strut yourself this is about the safest tool you can use. I will not slip, and you have pretty good control over compressed spring. This can be a dangerous DIY repair so be careful but I believe this product for the price is the safest and best out there, Thank you very much, Be careful

A safe way to do the job without spending big bucks
I have experience as a safety engineer and I put off replacing the struts on my car because of people having their heads taken off, face smashed in, or teeth knocked out when the coil spring compressor came loose from the spring while tightening, and went flying like a missile along with the spring. There are huge amounts of energy in a spring that big when compressed.
There is even a video on youtube where an "expert" had that happen while doing a how to video. The tool went sideways, flew off the spring, and went across the room like a bullet. Fortunately he was not hurt.
He was not using this tool, his tool did not have the horse shoe bolts attached by nuts.
I studied the designs available for under $100.00.
This design looks to be the strongest made, easiest to attach, and the safest.
I used it and it worked great. The biggest advantage is that you can tighten the horse shoe reataining/attachment bolts/nuts around the spring which keeps the device from...
