Great addition to your Big Block
The parts and bracket in this kit are great quality and went on the car very easily. It moved my alternator down about 8 inches and out of the way so it really cleaned up the appearance under the hood. I did need to get a new belt as the old one was not the right length but that was easy. I just measured what I needed with a piece of string and took it to the parts store and shopped for one of that length. Price was the best I could find too !

nice, not perfect, but close
Machining fit and finish excelent, poor placement of alternator (for my application). I purchased this item for a 1970 K5(350/350 PS PB AC). My alt. mnts. high on DS. Would have worked fine if adj. rod (between heim joints) was about 3 inches shorter. Fortunatly this unit comes with 4 heim joints (2 rt. hnd. thrd. 2 lt.) I was able to fab a shorter adj. rod, this made alt. placement very close to stock. (slightly higher and farther outboard). This unit would not work on my Blazer (without modification) because the belt would have run into the PS pump (It does state "WILL NOT WORK WITH PS" in the product details) This unit may work fine on many vehicles with... high hood clearance, lots of room outboard and no PS.
